Sinus is an inflammation or swelling of the tissue lining the cavities leading to an infection and can result in the accumulation of mucus and pain. Causes of Sinus include a respiratory infection, allergies, nasal polyps and a weakened immune. If you are experiencing chronic, long term Sinus then you have probably found your nose has been blocked for long periods. You can feel the blockage along with a slight pain and tension between the eyes! The essential oils can effectively help you get rid of sinus infection! Here are the main forms and types of essential oils you can use:
1. Eucalypus Oil
Eucalyptus oil is highly beneficial for those suffering from nasal congestion thanks to its decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Solution 1: Simply place one or two drops of pure eucalyptus essential oil in a fresh tissue and inhale the aroma. Do this a few times a day.
Solution 2: You can also use eucalyptus essential oil on your cushion or pillow to get the benefits of this oil even when you are in deep sleep.
2.Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree essential oil has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. It contains components called terpenoids and it is believed that these naturally occurring organic chemicals are the main reason for their healing and anti-inflammatory properties.
How To Use: Use it as a vapor inhalation. To create a vaporizer, add 10 drops to a steamer and use for five to ten minutes. You can also add two drops of a neti pot.
3.Lavender essential oil
Lavender is a natural anti-histamine, anti-inflammatory and very soothing. It can help reduce irritation and relax your breathing.
How To Use: Add pure lavender essential oil, drop by drop, to a small, non-reactive bowl filled with boiling water. Take a towel and cover your head with it and lean over the bowl, with just you and the steaming bowl covered under the towel. Keep the eyes closed by inhaling the steam vapors deeply for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat several times a day. You can try this method for any other essential oil as well.
4.Lemon Essential Oil
Lemon improves immunity, alleviates respiratory problems, is antibacterial and relieves respiratory inflammation.
How To Use: Lemon massage essential oil on the back of the neck, chest, behind and in front of the ears, on the cheekbone, nose, forehead and soles of your feet before going to sleep. You can also combine it with rosemary and eucalyptus oil.
